Kitchen Inspiration: Farmhouse Table

The kitchen is one of my favorites rooms in my house, and a lot of thought is going into how it will look when we get around to remodeling it. I love gathering around the kitchen table as hot food is being prepared....and lets be honest when you have a party everyone naturals gravitates in the kitchen anyways. So needless to say I want to make this room special one day. But currently all I know right about now is that I want a white kitchen, with dark accent pieces.

AND..... A farmhouse Table!

I am so excited to finally share the newest addition to the Yeremuk household: My farmhouse table! My father in-law just finished this oak, stained table for my kitchen. I am in love. Now I am on the hunt for the perfect chairs since the ones you see belong in my dining room. I admit I wanted to get this posted before I got to lazy, so the lighting isn't the greatest, but I know the table is going to look fabulous when everything is said and done. Oh and by the way that table isn't going anywhere fast, because it weighs a ton! I am confident that many Yeremuk's to come will be sharing food and conversation at this table.

Mother's Day celebration

I know I am a little late, but how did you celebrate this mother's day? I have three wonderful mother's in my life, and I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything they have done in my life. I truly love to entertain, and it gave me great joy to see the surprise on their faces when they came to lunch.

For each mother I had a vanilla buttermilk pound cake, a centerpiece, and little coin purse from Vera Bradley. It was only a small token of my gratitude. But I really just wanted to say Thank you.

Thank you mom, for raising me in a Christ centered home; Thank you mom, for keeping me company on Saturday nights, so i don't have to be by myself and making me feel sooo special since the moment I met you; Thank you memere for giving me wonderful memories of pool parties, late night card games, and trips to Italy! I have been blessed to have such Godly women in my life! HaPPY MOTHERs day! May we remember everyday, what truly remarkable ladies surround us!

For the menu: Lemonade, spinach with Gorgonzola, pistachios and a sweet and spicy vinaigrette; slow cooked beef with couscous apricots, whole peeled tomatoes, red onions, and sweet potatoes; vegetable lasagna; vanilla buttermilk pound cake; cranberry oatmeal squares

DIY Subway signs.

Hello, world. I apologize for disappearing again. Life is a bit crazy with changes and adjustments, but things are slowly getting by to normal. I have been meaning to post my subway signs for a while now, but I have just been to lazy. But as I am sitting here in my breezeway listening to the rain (By the way, I love rainy days like this.....) I thought there is no better time than the present!

These subway signs are a DIY project, but I do not have any tutorial because it happened way before I even considered blogging. But I will refer you to my friend's blog, Tello & Rose, because she used the same method as me. The only difference is the font of the letters and I got my canvas's at Ocean State Job Lot for $5 a piece. I used my mothers Cricket machine for the letters. So let me know what you think and enjoy!

favorite color: Blue

Can you guess what my favorite color is? Yup, Blue! I mean, it goes with everything. Blue can become classic and elegant if you want it to, or casual if you are in a rush and need to look put together without the fuss. Whether you have blonde, red, or brown hair blue always matches! So below is a favorite color combination that I discovered: blue and leopard! It is not your typical go to color when dealing with a leopard print, but that is why I love it! It gives you another option for that leopard print you only thought you could wear with black, brown or ivory! Think again!

Ode to the green pant :two ways

I am very excited! J.Crew factory just received garment dyed denim! The colors are so much fun and colored pants are everywhere right now. But some say they are to bright or do not know what to wear with them. So I thought I would provide a couple of examples for you! When it comes to bright bottoms keep the top a simple neutral color if you prefer and if you are not used to that much color on the bottom. The pants are very easy to dress up or dress down. And with the warmer weather around the corner (i think....new england weather can be a little tricky to decipher) it is fun to grab a color from your closet and add it to your outfit.

sunny and sequins.

As you have probably noticed, I have changed the name of the blog and overall theme. I wanted to keep it simple, so I promise from now on that the name will not change. I cannot promise that the style won't; as my computer skills grow, I may still tweak the look and feel of the blog. You can tell I work in retail, everything changes with the seasons! But today, with the weather so beautiful, I wanted to share one of my favorite outfits of all time! I wear this shirt for every possible outfit, and the shoes.....are just so much fun....and since today was such a beautiful day i couldn't help but think of this outfit. (top:J.crew factory;Skirt and shoes: J.Crew retail) what is your favorite outfit? is it time to take it out of the closet and throw it on for kicks!
