Fantastic finds under $20!

So, my lovely, amazing husband gave me a budget of $20 dollars per week for discretionary spending for the new year ( he doesn't believe I can stay within the parameters). Well I gladly take the challenge. And I was so excited to see how far I could stretch my money, that I went out to my top shopping destinations Savers and Sally Ann's (affectionately known as Salvation Army) to buy.....yup you called it clothes! And look at my findings.

Awesome vintage Dress for $1.99. I just loved the sequin bow. It looked like something i would find at H&M;though I do need to hem it.

My favorite show production(Cirque du Soleil on DVD) $3.99 and two vintage skirts $2.99 and $5.99
Two J.Crew sweaters $1.00 and $1.99
J.Crew khaki Pencil Skirt $1.99

And I was so proud that I could also create two new outfits with my finds. A fantastic day in my book!

New Obsession:Stripes

Lately, as I gather photos for inspiration for my house, or go shopping for clothes, I seem to be following a theme. STRIPES. I like them on the wall, on the floor, or on me! I think at one time, I couldn't get enough coffee mugs, or different scarves. But now that I have a house, there is so much I cannot wait to do, and the recurring theme throughout the decoration inspiration is stripes. It is even seeping into my wardrobe decisions.  Below are some of my cravings.

I just love the stripes on the wall and ceiling, and what better example to have than the creative director for J.Crew Jenna Lyons. Domino magazine featured her New York home, and there is a lot of inspiration to be found. Currently, I am still trying to convince myself that I can do at least one room with some stripes in it.  On a separate note, save the date because Domino Special Edition will hit newsstands on April 17th! Like them on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date!

I just love how is lovely lady at www.daybookblog.com put together stripe on stripe. I so want to do this. Beware you yet see another post with stripes in it!

And you have to appreciate that you can even have stripe bow tie pasta if your obsession is that bad. Lets hope we don't go that far.

And finally, why not end with a lovely stripe clutch. How cute is that, to take with you on your upcoming valentines day dinner date. So you see there are too many stripes and I love it! Have you seen any stripes that I should make note of? Let me Know!
